I spent twenty years in big-tech healthcare before starting ExecLabs, building the interoperability infrastructure that moves data between payers, providers, and the standards in between. X12 EDI, HL7, FHIR, and the dozen formats nobody outside that world has heard of. The clients on the other end of that work were Fortune 50 companies and multi-billion-dollar enterprises — Aetna, Cigna, UPMC, Mount Sinai. One in every three managed care encounters in the United States runs through the platform I helped build — over three billion transactions a year. When I say a system has to hold up under real volume, that's the volume I mean.
At Edifecs, my last company, I built a clinical AI inference engine: a system that read structured and unstructured data together — claims, lab results, medication histories, and the free text of physician chart notes — to surface conditions that were documented nowhere, either buried in narrative text or inferable only from the clinical picture. This was before LLMs. No foundation model to lean on. You built the reasoning yourself, and it had to be right, because a payer was going to act on the output.
That's the background the rest of this company is built on. Not “we're excited about AI.” Two decades of shipping systems where being wrong has consequences and being down is not an option.

ExecLabs is deliberately small. Every engagement starts with me in the code, and grows with senior product and engineering people who work inside the client's own team, repository, and tooling — not as an outside vendor filing tickets.
We don't staff engagements with whoever's on the bench. There is no bench. The people who show up have built production systems before, and will still be there when yours has to survive its first bad Tuesday.

Judgment, not headcount
Every executive-run firm hits the same ceiling. The bottleneck isn't capital or market. It's the executive team's capacity to process and act on information. We build infrastructure that changes that ratio.
Institutional memory shouldn't have a pulse
When your best operator goes off-grid, your firm shouldn't freeze. Knowledge that lives only in people's heads is knowledge at risk. We make it permanent.

The problem in most executive-run firms is that the same person is both the chef and the prep cook. They're assembling context, hunting for documents, consolidating reports, doing work that exists to support decision-making, not the decision-making itself.
We remove the prep work — whether that's ExecOS running quietly in the background, or a system we built for exactly this. By the time you need to make a decision, everything you need to make it is already in front of you.
